Apprenons does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. Specifically:
- No account creation — The App does not require sign-up or login.
- No personal data — We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any identifying information.
- No analytics or tracking — We do not use any analytics services, crash reporting tools, or tracking SDKs.
- No network requests — The App works entirely offline. It makes no HTTP requests to any server.
- No third-party services — We do not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or social media SDKs.
2. Local Data Storage
The App stores your learning progress locally on your device using standard mobile storage (AsyncStorage). This includes:
- Lesson completion status and exercise scores
- Spaced repetition review schedules
- XP points and achievement progress
- App settings (theme, speech speed, daily goal, notifications)
- Onboarding completion status
This data never leaves your device, is not backed up to any server, and is permanently deleted when you uninstall the App or reset progress from Settings.
3. Children's Privacy
Apprenons is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. Since the App collects no personal data whatsoever, it is compliant with:
- COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, United States)
- GDPR Article 8 (Conditions applicable to child's consent, European Union)
- PIPEDA (Personal Information Protection, Canada)
- Apple App Store Review Guidelines for children's categories
- Google Play Families Policy requirements
No parental consent is required because no data is collected or transmitted.
4. Device Permissions
The App may request the following device permissions:
- Notifications — Optional daily study reminders (user-initiated)
- Audio Playback — Text-to-speech for French pronunciation
- Haptic Feedback — Tactile feedback during exercises
No permissions involve accessing contacts, camera, location, microphone, photos, health data, or any other sensitive information.
5. Third-Party Services
Apprenons does not integrate or use any third-party services, including but not limited to: advertising networks, analytics platforms (Google Analytics, Firebase, Mixpanel), crash reporting tools (Sentry, Crashlytics), social media SDKs, cloud storage or sync services, and payment processors.
6. Data Security
All data is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted over any network. The security of your data is governed by your device's built-in security measures, including device lock, disk encryption, and operating system protections.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
Your learning data is retained only on your device for as long as the App is installed. You may delete all data at any time by:
- Using "Reset All Progress" in the App's Settings screen
- Uninstalling the App from your device
- Clearing the App's data through your device's system settings
8. International Users
Since Apprenons does not collect or process any personal data, no cross-border data transfer occurs. The App is equally compliant with privacy regulations worldwide, including GDPR (EU/EEA), CCPA/CPRA (California), LGPD (Brazil), POPIA (South Africa), and PDPA (Singapore/Thailand).
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this document, in the App's store listing, and within the App itself. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
